What we offer

We offer a wide variety of Ukrainian language courses which gives you the opportunity to choose the best type of learning according to the goals you have set. Communicative activities make each lesson at School an interesting and valuable experience.

Our vast experience in teaching Ukrainian has lead to the implementation of Ukrainian language courses, which can vary depending on the student or group’s needs. This kind of courses on the one hand helps us to evaluate students’ progress better in the long term, and on the other hand is one of the best teaching quality control tools ever.

All courses start every first Monday of month, at 10 a.m. Courses for individuals can begin anytime. The entry assessment test is on Monday, at 10.00 a.m.
1 academic hour is 45 minutes.

Individual courses matches the most demanding requests as the client specifies the time and place of study according to their needs. The student gets a detailed analysis of progress and of the problematic areas, which require attention. This allows focused work on various aspects of language and results in better efficiency.

Ukrainian as Foreign Language (Beginners)

The Beginner Ukrainian courses are designed to accommodate students with no previous knowledge of the Ukrainian language. The objectives of the courses are to develop elementary proficiency in four basic linguistic skills: speaking, reading, listening, and writing. Basic grammatical structures, sound patterns, spelling and vocabulary will be introduced in an engaging and interactive manner. Additional emphasis will be placed on developing sociolinguistic communicative skills necessary for successful intercultural interaction. Course material will engage students in exploring Ukraine 's living cultural and linguistic environment through the study of its living language on site.

Ukrainian as Foreign Language (Intermediate)

For students with approximately 150 hours of prior formal classroom instruction or equivalent personal background in Ukrainian; students entering this class typically demonstrate novice high speaking and writing skills, and novice mid listening and reading skills upon entrance into the course. In this class students review the basic grammatical and syntactical structures of the Ukrainian language and improve their mastery of this foundation of the language while acquiring an active vocabulary of approximately 1,500 words. Most students completing this course can read stylistically uncomplicated short stories and newspaper articles, and can understand the main ideas of uncomplicated radio and television reports. Course material will engage students in exploring Ukraine 's living cultural and linguistic environment through the study of its living language on site.

IMPORTANT: Classes start if enough students have registered for the course (3 and more students)


On the first day of the program participants are tested to be placed in the appropriate level. Level changes and group transfers are possible within two to three days after the placement test. Later transfers are possible after a consultation with the Academic Director of the Courses.

All language classes are taught in Ukrainian! Maximum number of participants in a language class: 6 students.
